Tumor markers are referred to as substances whose increase in concentration in the body can be caused by the development of cancer. They are of auxiliary importance in The process of diagnosing the disease, monitoring the effects of treatment, prognosis of cancer recurrence or the presence of metastases. CA 50 by structure is similar to the antigen CA 19 - 9. In cancers of the gastrointestinal tract gastrointestinal, pancreatic and colorectal cancers, the percentages of elevated CA 50 and Ca 19-9 concentrations are similar.
