Breast and ovarian cancer (BRCA1 and BRCA2) - testing at Synevo Blood Collection Point

• Testing of BRCA1 and BRCA2 gene mutations - genetic material is isolated from a saliva sample provided by the patient, which is then subjected to laboratory testing. The 8 most common genetic mutations within the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes in the Polish population 
• are examined
• BRCA1 - 6 mutations named: (c.181T>G / p.(Cys61Gly), c.68_69delAG / p.(Glu23Valfs*17) (185delAG), c.2563C>T / p.(Gln855*) (Gln855Ter), c.3700_3704delGTAAA / p.(Val1234Glnfs*8) (3819del5), c.4034delA / p.(Glu1346Lysfs*20) (4153delA) and c.5266dupC / p.(Gln1756Profs*74) (5382insC))
• BRCA2 - 2 mutations: (c.7757G>A / p.(Trp2586*) (7985G>A), c.9371A>T / p.(Asn3124Ile) (9599A>T)).

Ensure that you are not burdened with one of the 8 most common mutations within the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes in Poland. In the case of a result indicating a mutation, you will be able to take appropriate action earlier to reduce the risk of developing cancer, leading to early diagnosis and allowing for prompt and appropriate treatment.
