The "Pre-surgery profile II" package includes, among others:
The package includes the following studies:
- Morphology analyzer 5 diff – a multi-parameter test including evaluation of the red blood cell, white blood cell and platelet systems. The test also includes quantitative separation of leukocytes into populations: lymphocytes, neutrocytes, eosinophils, basophils and monocytes. The test is performed before surgical procedures to detect abnormalities such as anemia or thrombocytopenia, for example.
- P/HCV antibodies – detection of antibodies to the virus that causes hepatitis C (Hepatitis C). The test allows confirmation of contact with the virus and is a screening test for the diagnosis of hepatitis C. The HCV virus is transmitted through contact with infected blood, as maternal-fetal infections and through sexual contacts.
- HBs antigen – a test to detect the presence of Ag of the virus that causes hepatitis B. It is the earliest serological indicator of active hepatitis B. The antigen is detected 1 to 4 weeks before the onset of clinical symptomss or at the earliests 1-2 weeks after their onset.
- Caolin-Kefalin time, APTT, Prothrombin time – hemostasis, or coagulation tests performed before surgical procedures as screening tests.
- Glucose - a basic test to assess carbohydrate metabolism and detect diabetes.
- Creatinine,Urea,Potassium,Sd – biochemical tests used to diagnose water and electrolyte disorders and assess kidney function.
- General urinalysis – a test useful in diagnosing diseasesb of the kidneys and urinary system, as well as in detecting complications of such diseasesb as diabetes or hypertension. The test consists of evaluating characteristics such as color, reaction, specific gravity, and detecting the presence of substances such as glucose, protein, bilirubin, urobilinogen, ketone bodies, hemoglobin and nitrogenous compounds in the urine tested. Depending on the resultsof the composition of the analyzed urine, microscopic analysis of the urine sediment can additionally be performed.
