Preeclampsia profile - pregnancy complications

Preeclampsia – pre-eclampsia is a severe multisystem disorder of pregnancy caused by abnormal blood flow in the placenta, resulting in hypertension in the pregnant woman and hypoxia in the fetus. It most often develops after the 20th week of pregnancy and poses a danger to both mother and baby and resolves by 42 days after delivery.
