Anti-mitochondrial antibody (AMA) anti-M7

Antimitochondrial antibodies (AMAs) are directed against the body's own antigens (autoantibodies). The M7 type is specific for the heart muscle. Determination of these antibodies is important in myocarditis and cardiomyopathies.
