Anti-cytoplasmic granulocyte antibodies ANCA are autoantibodies
mainly of the IgG class that react with components of granules
found on granulocytes. ANCAs are present in many diseases
immunological diseases such as Wegener's granulomatosis, rheumatoid
arthritis, and can also occur in healthy individuals. ANCAS,
which are detected by indirect immunofluorescence (the method with the
highest sensitivity), are divided into c - ANCA (cytoplasmic)
showing fluorescence of the entire cytoplasm, this type of fluorescence
show mainly antibodies against proteinase 3; p-ANCA
(perinuclear) showing fluorescence around the nucleus, this type
is shown by antibodies directed against myeloperoxidase
(MPO).
