Circulating immune complexes (CIC) with Borrelia burgdorferi IgG antibodies

Assessment of circulating KKI immune complexes is performed in the diagnosis of Lyme disease. The test is of particular importance in Patients with negative serological results, but with clinical symptoms clinical signs that may indicate a previous infection with the vertebrate Borrelia. Currently, the test is not included in any criteria for the diagnosis of Lyme disease, so it should be considered as an additional. The result may not change medical management.
