Clinical significance

Factor IX inhibitor is an autoantibody, IgG class, and causes a significant reduction in factor IX activity. Clotting factor inhibitor occurs in someós patients with hemophilia, most often with the severe form. Under the influence of clotting factor administered for treatment or prophylaxis, the body begins to produce antibodies thatóre blocking its action. This happens most often in early childhood.
