PFK phosphofructokinase

PFK phosphofructokinase - an enzyme involved in the process of Glycolysis or energy metabolism of glucose in the cells of the of the body. Tarui disease (type VII glycogenosis) is a genetically conditioned deficiency of PFK in muscle and erythrocytes. Symptoms clinical manifestations of the disease include muscle pain, exercise intolerance, hemolytic anemia and myoglobinuria.
