The fruit mixture test is a blood allergy test The fruit mixture test determines 4 allergens:

• strawberry,
• pear,
• citrus,
• pineapple,

The test involves the determination of IgE antibodies in the blood and is performed when an allergy to fruit is suspected. The advantage of the test is that antihistamines do not need to be discontinued The blood allergen test is also used for qualification for desensitization of fruit allergy.

It is also recommended for the diagnosis of allergenic agents in children under the age of 4 years.
