The mold mixture test is a blood allergy test The mold mixture test determines 5 allergens:

• Penicillum notatum,
• Cladosporium herbarum,
• Aspergillus fumigatus,
• Candida albicans,
• Alternaria alternata,

The test involves the determination of IgE antibodies in the blood and is performed when an allergy to mold is suspected. The advantage of the test is that there is no need to discontinue antihistamines.

Blood allergen testing is also used for qualification for desensitization of mold allergy.


It is also recommended for the diagnosis of allergenic agents in children under the age of 4 years.
